I know that Speedo often runs small, so after measuring myself and coming up with a 32 on the size chart, I debated about going bigger. But I decided to stick with the size chart and get the 32 (which made sense, as my regular clothing size is a 6). The suit ended up being so small that I could not get it over one thigh! So I returned it and this time went 2 sizes up for a 36. This time I could at least get it on, but it was as if I was trying to squeeze myself into doll's clothing. The cut on the thigh is so unflattering--I have only a little extra meat there and yet I looked like I gained 10 pounds. Ultimately I had to return the 36 as well. I did not go for a third try. Frustratingly, the return process was so slow and difficult (I had to send multiple emails to find out what was going on, though I will say I always received prompt and courteous responses--they just weren't always helpful) that despite having ordered this for a triathlon, I only ended up out $12 (shipping costs are NOT refundable when you return!!! Did not realize this initially) and with no suit on race day.
