Adam Peaty
Olympic champion
Olympic Champion Adam (OBE) is the only swimmer in history to hold all major global championships at the same time. He is the Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth Champion, dominating men's international breaststroke across the board. At Tokyo 2020, Adam became the first British swimmer ever to retain an Olympic title and also formed part of the mixed medley team who won gold and set a new World Record in the process.
26 second barrier
Adam currently holds 17 of the top 20 fastest times ever in the 100m breaststroke. In the 50m semi-final of the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, he broke the 26-second-barrier for the first time in swimming history. Then he did it all over again in 2019 when he broke his own world record in the semi-final of the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 56.88, and became the first man to break 57 seconds in the event, before anybody else had even swum in under 58 seconds.
