Our 22 month old grandson had this type of swim vest on in the pool. When he got into the water, he was pushed forward onto his stomach. He couldn't lift his head out of the water or roll over with this vest on. Later he was in the kiddie pool. The water we just below his waist while he was standing. At some point he stopped standing to float, and the same thing happened. He was pushed forward face down in the water. He couldn't get his legs under him to stand up or roll over. This vest if very dangerous, and it shouldn't be on the market.

Our granddaughter won't wear this, but loves the old orange front zipper type.

I use this product to teach my grandson to float and feel confident in the water, so he can be easily taught how to swim

The only thing I can say about the product was that the lifeguard refused to have my 2 year old in the pool because it did not have a coastguard logo. That is it. I'm trying to return it this week.
