Fraying at "finger tip" edges

This is my second pair of Speedo swimming gloves. The first pair wore out after several years. I was extremely surprised to show wear after the first week of use. The gloves are certainly great for the purpose they were intended and would recommend this item to others as long as the fraying is a fluke.
