Pinkwashed
The lining is a 3-inch square of gauze tacked down at the four seams in the crotch of the suit. The waist is large compared to the leg opening. I compared the waist of a small size women's to a large size men's jammer and they are identical. The men's suit has a drawstring (the women's does not) and full lining that is fully incorporated into the suit design. I would love if swimming did not necessitate weekly visits to a waxing salon, but these shorts are just throwing scraps to the starving.

It's okay
I wanted the jammer shorts as an option for water aerobics, SUP and beach in lieu of a skirted bottom. The fabric is thinner than I thought and not as much compression as I'd hoped.

Runs Big!
I bought these to do runs to and from open water swims, without having to change or be too soggy running back. Also for SUP Boarding and SUP Yoga. The first time I wore them, I tried them out in the pool, and immediately found them to be too big with too much drag. It felt like water was going straight through the waist band, and I was paranoid that a gap was opening and showing my privates underwater! The waist band rolled some. They fit much looser when wet. I immediately contacted customer service to see if I could get a refund or exchange but couldn't because I'd worn them already. The sizing chart puts me at a Medium and almost a Large. I ordered a Medium and I think a Small would have stayed put better & fit fine. I'm 5' 7.5", 140 lbs., 31" waist, 39" hips. They still work for my purposes, but I wouldn't wear these for serious swims in the pool.
